Another Month of Playful Learning at Frontenac School!
November 3, 2026
On November 3, 2026, TOYBOX visited the Family Centre at Frontenac School to deliver another monthly learning activity. We began our day with a storybook reading and puppet show performed by TOYBOX plush dolls: Litty, Nume, and Welly! Many children were excited to see the TOYBOX plushies, which helped keep them engaged throughout the story.

We then handed out TOYBOX tangram activities for families to take home, encouraging parents and caregivers to explore early literacy, numeracy, and wellness with their children through play. Many babies and toddlers explored the activities through sensory experiences like shaking the bags containing the puzzles and examining the colourful pieces.

Older children explored the uppercase and lowercase letters printed on each tangram piece and discovered the different shapes and sizes as they built their favourite creative figures. Sample images were provided to inspire their creativity and encourage them to make a variety of interesting shapes, including houses, cats, bunnies, hearts and much more!

TOYBOX is grateful for the warm hospitality of Frontenac School and looks forward to our next visit in December!
Early learning was not limited to literacy, numeracy, and wellness activities.
Children also engaged in meaningful sensory experiences through touch and sound, supporting inclusive, age-appropriate learning through play!”

Reconnecting with familiar families and meeting new ones always brings us great joy as we learn together and play together!
They are the true motivation behind our efforts to create even more enjoyable learning activities for our next visit!”
