Land Acknowledgement
The ToyBox project was founded in Treaty One Territory, the lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. We recognize that all land on which we gather, from coast to coast to coast, is stolen Indigenous land. We gratefully acknowledge that our water is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation and that our hydro power is received from Tataskweyak Cree Nation. ToyBox Manitoba commits to community action, supporting the needs of all children and families. We seek opportunities to learn and grow from our history that we may understand, critique, and question ongoing colonial structures across what is now Canada.
Working Towards Truth and Reconciliation
Our team is made stronger through collaboration with Indigenous communities across Manitoba, working to improve the accessibility of educational resources for children. Members have generously contributed to our Letters, Numbers, and Wellness activities, and continue to share practices that bring Indigenous Ways of Knowing into ToyBox as a whole. Together, we recognize this work as an act of reconciliation, connecting families of all backgrounds to the knowledge of Nations that colonial systems have suppressed and attempted to eradicate (TRC Calls to Action 10.ii, 10.iii, 12).

Indigenous Activities
TOYBOX collaborates with many Indigenous educators, researchers, students, and community members to develop activities that integrate the values of Indigenous teachings into every day learning. Join Litty, Welly, and Nume as they learn and play together while honouring the lands we live on.
