Taking Dragon-Sized Steps

 1, 2, 3, RAWR!

Beginner

Pretend to be an animal from a storybook or fairytale. Count your steps to find the distance between places.

Tip:  Pick a number, and then see how far you can get with that number of steps.

Intermediate

Guess how many steps it will take to get to different places as your character.

Tip: Test your guess! Discuss who had the best guess.

Experienced

Guess how many “dragon steps” and “mouse steps” it will take to get to different places. Get creative with character choices!

Tip: Recognize which animals or characters use less steps to get to a destination (ex: dragons take bigger steps than mice, therefore it would take a dragon less steps to get to their destination).
