 Who, What, Where, When, Why?

Beginner

Talk about the whos, whats, and hows of photos.

Tip: What do you see? Who is in the photo? What are they doing? How are they dressed? What is the weather like? What colour is their hair? How many people?

Intermediate

Talk about where people in a photo are in relation to their surroundings.

Tip: Where was the photo taken? Indoors or outdoors? What season? What clothing should you wear in that weather? Who is beside/in front of/behind/ the ____?

Experienced

Try to make guesses based on clues in the photo.

Tip: If there are people in the photo, are they warm or cold? Do they like the weather outside? How do you know?

Why is this important?

Photos are great conversation starters and a fun way to have children talk  about who and what they see.
