Literacy activities are designed to help children learn and improve their skills in reading and writing. We want to give caregivers the opportunity to help their children get a head start on these skills. Reading and writing are two key building blocks for school and life skills. Many of these activities can be done during bedtime reading or by using books from school or the library. By sending literacy activities at the beginning of the week, caregivers have the opportunity to develop a routine that includes literacy fun! Each of these activities comes with three different levels: beginner, intermediate, and experienced. Each level also comes with a tip if you are unsure of where to start. ToyBox Manitoba activities are levelled based on difficulty, with no age limits prescribed, so you can have meaningful interactions and allow your child to learn at their own speed.
